A bon entendeur…y

4 good cars from Chevrolet

Chevrolet HHR

The Chevrolet HHR (for Heritage High Roof) is a small retro-styled compact launched by the Chevrolet division of American automaker General Motors at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show as a 2006 model — and designed by Bryan Nesbitt.Smaller than the Equinox, the HHR shares the GM Delta platform with the Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5, Saturn Ion, and Saturn Astra. In Mexico, it was sold alongside its predecessor, the Opel-sourced Chevrolet Zafira compact MPV.
In IIHS tests the HHR receives a "Good" overall score in the frontal offset crash test. And an "Acceptable" score in side impacts on models equipped with side curtain airbags. Side curtain airbags became standard for 2008 models however side torso airbags are unavailable.

Chevrolet Malibu

The Chevrolet Malibu (named after Malibu, California) is a mid-size car produced in the United States by General Motors. It is marketed in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Middle East.
The Malibu was redesigned for the 2008 model year by Bryan Nesbitt, under the direction of GM Vice Chairman Robert Lutz — who was determined to make the nameplate competitive with Japanese mid-size cars. Extensive engineering and design went into the remodel.
The seventh generation Malibu is built on a revised version of the long-wheelbase Epsilon platform shared with the Saturn Aura, the Opel Signum, and Pontiac G6. It is assembled in Kansas City and Lake Orion, Michigan. Overall it is 3 inches (76 mm) longer with a wheelbase that is six inches (152 mm) longer. Interior room remains mid-size like the previous Malibus, and has been decreased from 101 cubic feet (2.9 m3) to 97.7 cubic feet (2.8 m3) despite having a longer wheelbase, although front legroom has increased from 41.9 in (1,064 mm) to 42.2 in (1,072 mm).Rear legroom has decreased from 38.5 in (978 mm) to 37.6 in (955 mm).The interior design has also been completely reworked, with a selection of two-tone color combinations(brick and tan two tone), telescoping steering wheel, higher-quality materials and a twin-cowl dash design.Drag (Cd) is at 0.33.

Chevrolet Equinox

The Chevrolet Equinox is a mid-size crossover SUV from Chevrolet based on GM's Theta unibody platform, manufactured at CAMI Automotive GM/Suzuki joint venture plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada, and introduced in 2004 for the 2005 model year.
The second generation Equinox was announced by GM on December 21, 2008, and debuted at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The 2010 Equinox went on sale in June 2009. It is built on a stiffened version of the same "Theta" platform used in the previous model. The new Equinox has a pair of new direct-injection engines, with better fuel economy claimed by GM.
The new 2.4-liter I4 engine produces 182 hp (136 kW) and 172 lb·ft (233 N·m) torque, and achieves up to 22 mpg-US (11 L/100 km; 26 mpg-imp)(9.35km/L) (city), 32 mpg-US (7.4 L/100 km; 38 mpg-imp)(13.6km/L) (highway), an increase in fuel economy over the outgoing model.
Also available is a 3.0-liter V6 engine which produces 264 hp (197 kW) and 214 lb·ft (290 N·m) torque, with fuel economy at 17 mpg-US (7.2 km/l)(city), 25 mpg-US (11 km/l)(highway).
Both powertrains are backed by six-speed automatics and optional all-wheel-drive systems (front-wheel-drive is standard).
The Chevrolet Equinox returned to Mexico for the 2010 model year with this second generation after a year of absence, arriving in late November.

Chevrolet Suburban

The Chevrolet Suburban is a large sport utility vehicle from Chevrolet. It is the longest-lived continuous automobile nameplate still in production, dating from 1935. Before it was the Chevrolet Suburban, it was the GMC Suburban. The Suburban has been produced under the Chevrolet, Holden, and GMC marques until the GMC version was rebranded as the GMC Yukon XL. For most of its recent history, the Suburban has been a station wagon-bodied version of the Chevrolet pickup truck, including the Chevrolet C/K series of truck-based vehicles. Cadillac offers a version called the Escalade ESV. The Suburban has traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles, with relatively high resale value for an American truck and station wagon.
The 2007 model year Suburban and Yukon XL were unveiled at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show in January. Production of the redesigned GMT900 Suburban and Yukon XL began at Janesville Assembly and Silao Assembly in March 2006, with the vehicles arriving at dealerships in April.
The new models were redesigned with more modern styling, already seen on the previously released 2007 Tahoes and Yukons. The exterior features a more aerodynamic shape, made partly by a steeply raked windshield angle. The new design has less drag than previous models, making it more aerodynamic.
